Rossi Notte (8320)
Polished smooth, finished in a dusky grey, and fitted with sleek black acrylic stems that won't oxidize, Rossi's Notte line presents a charming, tasteful style in which to offer great Italian designs at an easy price. With the "8320" the traditional Author shape is presented in all its stout and charming glory, with a rotund, almost ball-like bowl, paired with a short, fat shank and bent stem.
Thoughts from the Cottage:
Like many others, my first real pipe was a Rossi. I picked it up at a local B&M store, along with a few ounces of their best selling house blend, Southern Breeze (excellent blend title, by the way.) That particular pipe was a Rossi 8626 bent apple. I still enjoy that pipe today, and I can always go back to those first few smoking sessions when I use it. In fact, because of that first Rossi, I find myself buying bent apples quite often. If you're a fan of Savinelli, give Rossi a try (they are virtually the same pipe.) They are wonderful pipes at an unbeatable price point. Acrylic stem. 6mm filter.
