When I first purchased Pegasus and tried it, I found it a little over bearing and the 'nic' level was too high for my liking. However, as I have allowed it to breath a little- here is what stuck me about this earthy blend. When Carter Hall was still the real thing, I used it to break in pipes and blended it with other tobaccos that I found would not light well, or just needed some "toning down" (in my humble opinion that is). After a few months of this blend, I find that it reminds me of all that was glorious about those bygone OTC blends of burley. Still a bit strong and earthy, but I do enjoy it in that wonderful place in my memory, where the "good old days" meets me on the porch. Sip it slowly, burns nice and not too hot. Full flavored. This is my Carter Hall replacement.
